Human rights questions

1. What are human rights?
The human rights are moral principles that describe certain standards of human behaviour, and are regularly protected aslegal rights in national and international law.

2. When and why were they created?
Human tights were created in 1948, because after spending the war, there was much poverty and many misfortunes and horrors that suffered all people, and because of this they created human rights.

3. How many human rights are there?
There are thirty human rights.

4. Which human right were you not familiar with?
I didn't know of the existence of this human right: Asylum and rest & relaxation.

Make a list of new words you hear, if any. Think of an example where this human right is respected and where it is violated.
I chose the human right of worker's rights because I think that is very important that all of people have a good job with a living wage. This human right is very important because there every countries that don't comply this right, for example in  Africa or in countries in South America.

NEWS: Motorway thieves steal French jewls

An armed gang of thieves seized 9m. € in jewels in FranceA group of 15 hooded thieves seized the vehicles on the A6 motorway at Avallon at 220 Km near of Paris with some form of gas and later the lorries were found abandoned burned and complete emptyThe lorries had been carrying diamonds, others jewels and works. Now the police have been searching in the region and the neighbouring areas.

This isn’t the only theft in the recent years. Some of the most important have been, for example, the year before, when a gang of thieves wearing women’s clothing and wigs stolen a lot of jewels on a Harry Winston store in ParisAnd this year in the Cannes film festival were two separate robberies, including the theft of a necklace of 1,9m.€.

I think the crisis and unemployment do that every day there are more robberies, but I think that these types of thefts are expert people and the big majority comes from organized armed groups. The only thing you can do to combat this problem is to put more and more security and alarms.

In my opinion this Thieves are experts and trained to steal and they have very specialized equipment.

NEWS: All aboard! Hulk the world's biggest pit bull

The dog Hulk with only 17 months old with a weighing of twelve and a half stone (175 lbs), he is believed to be the world's largest pit bull. He is almost three times bigger than a normal Pit Bull Terrier.

The owners: Marlon and Lisa Grennan, from New Hampshire, say that your dog is very big and tall but he is very gentle like a nanny dogs. Each day he eats 4lbs of ground beef.

And while he admits his dogs are trained for aggression and power, he says the criticism is usually from people who live in safer environments with no need for protection. And why should somebody else live in fear if they don’t have to.

It is true that the called dangerous breeds of dogs have very bad reputation and it requires attention to their education but I think the problem is not with the dogs. Normally the problems are with the owners.

Usually these dogs if they are healthy they aren’t dangerous for reason of the dog breed. These dogs are more corpulent, they have more strength and a lot of strength but that does not mean they are dangerous.

This case is doubly complicated because this dog is of a dangerous breed but also has a extraordinary dimensions, but he is very good for the family and to the children, so it shows that the stereotypes are not always true.

NEWS: Can a school demand your Facebook or Twitter login?

A school district in Illinois is embroiled in controversy after a letter it sent to parents was published, explaining that school officials are allowed to demand access to students' social media accounts.

The letter says that if your child has an account on a social networking website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, ask.fm, etc, your child may be asked to provide his or her password for these accounts to school officials. And a lot of parents who received the notice were also unnerved about the lack of privacy.

A school could only request passwords if there is ample evidence of a school rule being violated But the students weren't required to provide the passwords schools were simply allowed to request them under these circumstances. But is clearly that that's a power that's likely to be abused at some point.

Some argue that the law in Illinois violates Facebook's terms of use, which forbids users from sharing their password or letting anyone else access their account. Anytime a school is trying to control students behaviour outside school, it's a serious threat to their privacy and to their futures.

I think it is a violation of privacy and if the schools require to the students the passwords of the accounts in the social networking like a Facebook, Instagram, Whats,... etc in the hands of someone illegal, could substitute the persons and represents a serious risk.

In my opinion only the police can require the passwords if they are evidences of cyberbulling. Children need to be inspired, not punished and certainly not made to feel violated.

NEWS: Police threaten to confiscate four year old girl’s bike on way to school because she was cycling on pavement

Sophie Lindley was cycling to go the school in Grantham (Licolnshire) with her father and an officer told them that her actions were against the law. The parents accepted it was illegal to ride on the pavement but they said that is ridiculous to think a four year old is not allowed and with only four year old to ride in the road it’s not safe.

The mother said that at first she thought he was joking but he looked deadly serious. When the little girl was into her class your teacher had to calm her because she thought she was going to be put in jail.

Mr. Lindley obeyed the officer’s order and he added that the path was totally empty and we walk along it every day because Sophie likes to cycle on her bike

In my opinion this is a case very exaggerated. It’s normally that the cyclist can’t ride on the pavement but have some sense this is just a little kid.

I think that the little bikes under a certain size cant were allowed to ride on the pavement because the small children can’t be expected to ride on the road because it just isn’t safe. We know that the law indicates that it is forbidden but the police should have more common sense and although the law has to fulfil in some cases, like this, they should be more flexible.
